「どうして行かなかったんだろう？」

come＝来る、go＝行く、と覚えている人もいるかもしれませんが、要注意。自分が話している相手がいる場合、相手が自分の方へくるのも、自分が相手の方へ行くのも、両方comeなんです。自分からも相手からも離れていくのがgo、となります。ですから、相手にI’m coming!といったら、「（そっちに）行くよ」という意味で、I’m going!といったら、「じゃあ（君の方じゃなくてどっか別の場所へ）行くね」ということなんです。Nora Jonesのこの名曲の歌詞は、そういうわけで、「あなたのところにどうして『行かなかった』んだろう？」という意味なんですね。彼女の心に染み入る歌声が、初秋の海辺にぴったりです。

米国のシンガーソングライター、ジャスティン・ティンバーレイクの2016年発表の楽曲。Troll（トロール）という映画の挿入歌でもあります。I can’t stop the feeling, so just dance, dance, dance.「この感じ、とまらない。だからダンス、ダンス、ダンス！」。歌も軽快ですが、プロモーションビデオも楽しい。古き良きアメリカを彷彿とさせる建物や情景をバックに、一般市民がとにかく楽しそうに踊っています。そう、自然に体が動いちゃう、そんなノリノリの曲なんです。I got that sunshine in my pocket, Got that good soul in my feet 「お日様ポケットにいれて、足元までいいカンジ」。一日が元気になれそうですよ。
