「また晴れる日があるから」

現在日本でも公開されている話題のミュージカル映画「La La Land」。先日アカデミー賞で6部門を受賞したばかりですね。同曲は、冒頭で大勢のキャストで歌い踊られるミュージカル感満載の一曲。この映画は「夢を追う」という永遠のテーマを描き出していますが、それを象徴するような挿入曲です。another  = 「もうひとつの」という意味ですから、another day は、また別の日、日を改めて、ということです。”When they let you down, you’ll get up off the ground, ‘cause morning rolls around, and it’s another day of sun”「うまく行かない時も　また立ち上がる　朝はまたやってくるから　また晴れる日があるから」。

「君も飛べるよ！」

1953年にディズニーによってアニメ化された永遠の少年「ピーターパン」のお話は、世代を超えて人気ですね。挿入歌の”You Can Fly!”も、わくわく、元気になれる曲。「〜できる」という意味を持つ”can”は助動詞ですから、そのあとには動詞の原形を使いましょう。ピーターも言っています。”All it takes is faith and trust”「必要なのは、信じること！」信じれば、できるんです。Yes, you can!　まずはポジティブに、できると信じてがんばってみましょう。サビーネのこども英語発表会でも、こどもたちが元気に歌う予定です！
