新年あけましておめでとうございます。みなさんの一年が「世界のテッペンにいる」くらいしあわせな年になりますように、と願いをこめて、新年一番にお届けするのは、70年代に活躍した兄妹デュオ、カーペンターズのヒット曲。私よりお若いみなさんでも、テレビCMやドラマ挿入歌などで耳にしたことがあると思います。歌詞は長く見えますが、語尾をはしょるくらいの気持ちで流れるように歌ってみましょう。コツは、単語をまじめにひとつずつ発音せず、次の音とつなげて「リンク」させること。軽快なリズムに歌詞がピタリとはまってとても気持ちよく歌えます。新年会のカラオケで披露してみてくださいネ。
