(45) 鋸山美術館

Located near Tokyo Bay Ferry terminal, its modern-looking exterior of concrete and Boshu rock, excavated from Nokogiriyama, catches your eye. Nokogiriyama museum, small but full-fledged, stores and exhibits art works by local artists, and organizes planned exhibits that meet a high standard. With the annex introducing the history of Nokogiriyama stone cutting industry, the museum also serves as a center for preservation activities around Nokogiriyama.

富津市金谷・東京湾フェリー乗り場近くに立つ、鋸山から産出された房州石をその外壁に配したモダンなコンクリート作りの外観が目を引く鋸山美術館。金谷の名家所蔵の古美術や近現代の地元作家の収蔵も充実しているほか、全国レベルの質の高い企画展がみられる、この地域に希少な本格的な美術館です。別館に「鋸山資料館」も併設、上総・安房の名山鋸山の保全活動にも中心的役割を果たしています。
