30) I’m starting with the man in the mirror.

If you wanna make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and then make that change!”「世界を変えたければ、まず自分を変えていこう」。

Man in the Mirror

SONGWRITERS
SIEDAH GARRETT, GLEN BALLARD

I’m gonna make a change
For once in my life
It’s gonna feel real good
Gonna make a difference
Gonna make it right

As I, turn up the collar on
My favorite winter coat
This wind is blowing my mind
I see the kids in the streets
With not enough to eat
Who am I to be blind?
Pretending not to see their needs

A summer disregard, a broken bottle top
And a one man soul
They follow each other on the wind ya’ know
‘Cause they got nowhere to go
That’s why I want you to know

I’m starting with the man in the mirror
I’m asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you want to make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself, and then make a change

I’ve been a victim of a selfish kind of love
It’s time that I realize
That there are some with no home, not a nickel to loan
Could it be really me, pretending that they’re not alone?

A willow deeply scarred, somebody’s broken heart
And a washed-out dream
They follow the pattern of the wind ya’ see
‘Cause they got no place to be
That’s why I’m starting with me

I’m starting with the man in the mirror
I’m asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you want to make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself, and then make a change

I’m starting with the man in the mirror
I’m asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you want to make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make that
Change!

I’m starting with the man in the mirror
(Oh yeah!)
I’m asking him to change his ways
(Better change!)
No message could have been any clearer
If you want to make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make the change)
You gotta get it right, while you got the time
You can’t close your, your mind!

(Then you close your, mind!)
That man, that man, that man, that man
With the man in the mirror
(Man in the mirror, oh yeah!)
That man, that man, that man
I’m asking him to change his ways
(Better change!)
No message could have been any clearer
If you want to make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make the change

Oh no, no no

I’m gonna make a change
It’s gonna feel real good!
Chime on!
(Change)
Just lift yourself
You know
You’ve got to stop it
Yourself!
(Yeah! Make that change!)
I’ve got to make that change, today!
Hoo!
(Man in the mirror)
You got to
You got to not let yourself
Brother
Hoo!
(Yeah! Make that change!)
You know, I’ve got to get
That man, that man
(Man in the mirror)
You’ve got to move! Chime on!
Chime on!
You got to
Stand up! Stand up! Stand up!
(Yeah! Make that change)
Stand up and lift yourself, now!
(Man in the mirror)
You know it!
You know it!
You know it!
You know it
(Change)
Make that change

29) Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street?

テーマソングでも「It’s a magic carpet ride. Every door will open wide to happy people like you」「魔法のじゅうたんに乗ってるみたい。

Sesame Street Theme
by Joe Raposo

Sunny day
Sweepin’ the clouds away
On my way to where the air is sweet

Can you tell me how to get,
How to get to Sesame Street?

Come and play
Everything’s A-OK
Friendly neighbors there
That’s where we meet

Can you tell me how to get
How to get to Sesame Street?

It’s a magic carpet ride
Every door will open wide
To happy people like you–
Happy people like
What a beautiful

Sunny Day
Sweepin’ the clouds away
On my way to where the air is sweet

Can you tell me how to get,
How to get to Sesame Street

How to get to Sesame Street
How to get to

28) Express Yourself

Don’t go for second best baby, put your love to the test” 「二番に甘んじてはだめ。

Express Yourself

[Spoken:]
Come on girls
Do you believe in love?
‘Cause I got something to say about it
And it goes something like this

[Chorus:]
Don’t go for second best baby
Put your love to the test
You know, you know, you’ve got to
Make him express how he feels
And maybe then you’ll know your love is real

You don’t need diamond rings
Or eighteen karat gold
Fancy cars that go very fast
You know they never last, no, no
What you need is a big strong hand
To lift you to your higher ground
Make you feel like a queen on a throne
Make him love you till you can’t come down
(You’ll never come down)

[chorus]

Long stem roses are the way to your heart
But he needs to start with your head
Satin sheets are very romantic
What happens when you’re not in bed
You deserve the best in life
So if the time isn’t right then move on
Second best is never enough
You’ll do much better baby on your own
(Baby on your own)

[chorus]

Express yourself
(You’ve got to make him)
Express himself
Hey, hey, hey, hey
So if you want it right now, make him show you how
Express what he’s got, oh baby ready or not

[Intermediate:]

And when you’re gone he might regret it
Think about the love he once had
Try to carry on, but he just won’t get it
He’ll be back on his knees

To express himself
(You’ve got to make him)
Express himself
Hey hey

What you need is a big strong hand
To lift you to your higher ground
Make you feel like a queen on a throne
Make him love you till you can’t come down
(You’ll never come down)

[intermediate]

So please

[chorus]

Express yourself
(You’ve got to make him)
Express himself
Hey, hey, hey, hey
So if you want it right now, make him show you how
Express what he’s got, oh baby ready or not
Express yourself
(You’ve got to make him)
So you can respect yourself
Hey, hey
So if you want it right now, then make him show you how
Express what he’s got, oh baby ready or not

27) (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction

正しくは?、、、”I don’t have any money”ですね。

I can’t get no satisfaction

I can’t get no satisfaction

I can’t get no satisfaction

‘Cause I try and I try and I try and I try

I can’t get no, I can’t get no

When I’m drivin’ in my car

And that man comes on the radio

He’s tellin’ me more and more

About some useless information

Supposed to fire my imagination

I can’t get no, oh no, no, no

Hey hey hey, that’s what I say

I can’t get no satisfaction

I can’t get no satisfaction

‘Cause I try and I try and I try and I try

I can’t get no, I can’t get no

When I’m watchin’ my T.V.

And that man comes on to tell me

How white my shirts can be

But he can’t be a man ‘cause he doesn’t smoke

The same cigarrettes as me

I can’t get no, oh no, no, no

Hey hey hey, that’s what I say

I can’t get no satisfaction

I can’t get no girl with action

‘Cause I try and I try and I try and I try

I can’t get no, I can’t get no

When I’m ridin’ round the world

And I’m doin’ this and I’m signing that

And I’m tryin’ to make some girl

Who tells me baby better come back later next week

‘Cause you see I’m on a losing streak

I can’t get no, oh no, no, no

Hey hey hey, that’s what I say

I can’t get no, I can’t get no

I can’t get no satisfaction

No satisfaction, no satisfaction, no satisfaction

26) Isn’t it good, Norwegian wood.

Norwegian Wood

The Beatles

I once had a girl, or should I say, she once had me…

She showed me her room, isn’t it good, norwegian wood?

She asked me to stay and she told me to sit anywhere,

So I looked around and I noticed there wasn’t a chair.

I sat on a rug, biding my time, drinking her wine

We talked until two and then she said, “It’s time for bed”

She told me she worked in the morning and started to laugh.

I told her I didn’t and crawled off to sleep in the bath

And when I awoke, I was alone, this bird had flown

So I lit a fire, isn’t it good, norwegian wood.
