Charms of Minamiboso (39) Chiba Prefecture Dairy Village

Did you know that Minamiboso was the birthplace of dairy farming in Japan? In the 18th century, Shogun Yoshimune imported three white cows from India, which were then brought to the foot of Mt. Mineoka and dairy farming started. Today the site has been turned into Dairy Village. It includes a museum introducing the history of dairy farming in Japan, a green hill where white goats are released, and a little stream with a walking path. An ideal spot to visit with your family.
